Too often we forget to be kind to others. Too often we underestimate the power of a small act of kindness. A smile, a light touch, a listening ear, a kind word, an honest compliment, a small gesture…each has the potential to change someone’s world.
So, maybe the next time that cashier you come across has a sour face and is simply short with you, smile and wish her a great day (instead of giving her an equally sour face, grabbing your purchases and defiantly walking through the door). Or if you’re at a restaurant and the waiter or waitress approaching you looks like he/she’s been having a miserable day, smile and ask how he/she’s doing (of course, you can do it even if he/she looks perfectly fine because some people are great pretenders). And if you’re happy with the service, leave a hearty tip.
Spread the love. Spread the kindness. Make the world a better place.
